Does anyone miss me?
I sure hope the answer is yes, because I just ordered a new laptop so I can get online at the cottage! *big sappy grin* I'm hoping it will be here by the weekend but probably not until next week.
This weekend will be my annual "Girls Gone Somewhat Wild" weekend at the cottage. I'm really looking forward to it! Any suggestions for food?

My laptop has been shipped. *hops* It is now in transit in USA according to Purolator. Should you see a Purolator driver in the next day or two could you please ask them to hurry! *grin*

Yay!!! Finally got some of the bugs worked out and I'm sitting here at the cottage watching Pirate Master while posting. Dave just said that me buying this laptop may be a mistake. *grin* I told him the novelty would wear off and I wouldn't be on it ALL the time while I'm here. *grin*
It's going to be a busy weekend. On Saturday night I'm going to a 50th Anniversary party for one of my former co-workers. Mean Jean will be there. It could be fun. *evil grin* Then on Canada Day (Sunday) we're going on a little road trip to a family reunion near Algonquin Park and won't be home til Monday.
So while I'm here, I'm gonna be gone again for a bit. It's good to know you miss me though. I'm so anxious to get back into blogland!
The Girls Gone Somewhat Wild weekend was a bit of a bust. My dialysis girlfriend was too sick to come up and her sister and other girlfriend only came for supper because we were all worried about the sick one. We'll have to reschedule.
I've had my laptop for almost 8 months, and I'm still obsessed with it. Good luck with that whole "novelty wearing off" thing. *grin*

Vista is so friggen different and between that and the laptop keyboard and lack of number pad I'm getting frustrated. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually, right?

Mean Jean is still a bitch. *grin* Does that surprise anyone? When we met them at the door at the beginning of the party Mr. MJ came over and gave me a hug and said hello. She didn't make any effort to say hello so I walked over and shook her hand and said it had been a long time (not nearly long enough for me).
My ex-coworkers and I were quite happy that the Mean Jeans sat at a different table. Everyone thinks that Mean Jean was intimidated by me. She only came over to say hi to them when Dave and I went outside for a smoke. *giggle*
The Vista situation is that I called them on Wednesday and they said that there are "issues" with Vista and dial-up. Nice of them to tell me that BEFORE I bought the laptop. I'm calling them on Monday and if they want me to keep the laptop they're going to have to give me XP for free. Otherwise, it's going back.
Poor Dave my ass! He'd love nothing more than to be in the middle of a girls gone wild weekend. *snort
