This doesn't happen often

I have nothing to say. Kidding! I always have something to say!

On the way to work yesterday morning, between Dave and I, we saw three shooting stars.

I stayed up until 11pm to watch the TAR final last night and I regret it this morning.

Last night I prepared 46 Christmas cards for mailing. Every year I say I'm not going to do it but I always do.

I'm torn about what to do for New Year's Eve. Some of our friends are going to a party/dance at the Legion and if I want to go there I'd have to buy tickets right now. But that's not what I really want to do. I prefer spending New Year's Eve either at the cottage or at home with another couple and a few drinks and snacks.

My steel supplier here at work just brought me a bottle of Carolina's Irish Cream and glasses in a gift box. Woohoo! I love being in Purchasing at Christmas!

We are battling New Years Eve as well. I want to go out to the bars and whoop it up. Michelle wants to go to the lake with the family and just party there. I'm bored and so over that.
We are working on a compromise. this year we go to the lake and then next year after we have lost all of our weight we can go to SF's Exotic/Erotic ball again. I miss going to the Exotic/Erotic. It's such a huge and fun party.

I say you do what you want on New Years. And if you aren't out on the roads, that's always the better idea. Unless of course you're in a cab or limo.

New Years? They have that in Canada? *grin*

I have not stayed up for a New Year or gone out since 2000. Well when it turned 2004 I was in the hospital after giving birth, so I was up and I was out.

We have been trying to figure out what to do. I always want something romantic, but it never happens.

Come on up Breezy! You're more than welcome any time. We might even be able to make an exception to the "No Arctic Cat" rule. *grin*

I'm not really into big splashy NYE parties anymore, BTDT, but that Exotic/Erotic thing you're talking about sounds like it could be fun. Sadly, we don't have anything like that up here in the boonies. Well, at least that would be advertised. *snicker*

Don't worry Momma, wherever I am on NYE, I can promise you it won't be behind the wheel. *grin*

Where's Coco? Zombs needs a *whacque*! So I take it you just couldn't hold on long enough to win the New Year's Baby prizes huh?

For about 4 years in a row Dave always ended up scheduled to work on New Year's Day. When that happened I'd buy a bunch of snacky things, we'd rent a couple movies, lock the doors, pull the blinds, make a *nest* out of couch cushions and pillows in front of the tv and fireplace and have our own little private party. That's likely what we'll do if all else fails.

I love to see shooting stars!

On NYE I get to take my sister to the airport & officially end her wayway too long visit. Yay!!!!!

Anything we do after that will be a huge party.

Mr Swami & I plan to tell the kids to just stay away because mom and dad are going to be drunk & naked all over the house.

That's our plan.

Shooting stars are awesome. I used to sleep outside all the time just to watch the sky.

Sounds like you have some decisions to make, but it's nice to have options. Ours are pretty limited with the kids.

I fell asleep at 9:15 on Tuesday night. I did happen to wake up at about 10:45 so I did see the winners. And I watched the first hour of it last night.

I have not stayed up for New Years in about 3 years now. But I'd like to come up there with Breezy and play cards and giggle. I'm sure I'd only need one drink, so I'd be really cheap.

*snort* That nearly got me busted at work I laughed so loud! Would you be acting out any of these words or would you just be made to watch? *grin*

LOL @ MTW

Before the kids, we always went to my SIL's. I got groped by her DH's drunken brothers and BILs. That was back when I was young and cute. Now that I'm old and fat, I don't get groped and bigsloppykissed by old fat drunk guys so much. I remind myself of this whenever I feel bad about being old and fat.

We will have a quiet night in. We're not really partiers.

LOL Seana! Reading that made me feel better too. Altho, I still miss being groped and kissed by young, hot drunk guys! Alas - I am now invisible to hotties.

One of the retired guys that used to work in the shop came in to visit us this week. Dan, my "work husband" that I told you all about, thinks it's hilarious to tell this guy that I'd really like a big juicy kiss.

I tried to be polite and let him give me a peck on the cheek seeing as it's Christmas and everything but as soon as he left I rubbed my cheek so hard that I had no makeup on my face as all of it was on my sleeve. *shiver*

I don't mind a Christmas hug, but the bigsloppykisses have got to go!
